Lucie E. Rowland

Hello, and welcome to my website! I’m Lucie Rowland, an astronomer studying galaxy formation and evolution, ranging from nearby dwarf galaxies to massive, distant galaxies in the early Universe. My work involves leveraging data from cutting-edge observatories like the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) and the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) to explore how stars form and shape their environments.

Currently, I am in the third year of my PhD at Leiden University in the Netherlands. Alongisde working towards my PhD, I’m also passionate about public outreach and science communication. I enjoy sharing my experiences in academia, offering advice to aspiring PhD students, and writing about the latest developments in astronomy in an accessible way.
