Left: The Northern Lights, captured during a conference called 'Extreme Galaxies in Extreme Environments' that I attended in Iceland earlier this year. Right: The centre of the Milky Way, captured from Kruger National Park in South Africa. This was taken whilst I was at the International Astronomical Union (IAU) general assembly in Cape Town this summer.

The Trifid Nebula (left) and the Orion Nebula (right). These are both bright star forming regions within the Milky Way, captured with my Vespera telescope.
